One year

a year passed today....

a year since i heard to words fall out of jay t's mouth

a year since i saw the tears of my friends and my own rolling down everyone's cheeks.

a year since i sat in history alone praying that it wasn't true

a year since i took that long walk to my house trying to hold in the tears.

a year since i sat up in my attic crying for hours.

no one could understand how it felt on that day. to hear that a great friend, just 15 years old, was ripped away from this earth. it wasn't his time. he had so much to give to other people. his humor, his talent, his smile, his laugh that seemed to brighten any room.  Our guitar talks, inside jokes, quartet practices, and all our other memories. I miss him more than ever.
